Today you’re getting a list of the best delta-8 THC brands.
Delta-8 THC is a cousin of delta-9 THC. It has similar effects, but not the exact same effects.
Generally, delta-8 THC is experienced as a slightly milder form of delta-9 THC mentally, but with more potent bodily effects.
For example:
People that get anxiety from D9-THC, may successfully use D8-THC without experiencing anxiety. Its psychoactive effects seem to be less intense.
We’ve reviewed 16 brands on the following metrics:
- Cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles,
- Transparency of the brand,
- Experienced effects, and,
- Value.
Out of these 23 brands, we’ve listed the 5 brands that scored the highest on these metrics (by weighted average).
Table of Contents
#1 3CHI (Best Full-Spectrum Delta-8 Products)
3-CHI sells many ‘alternative’ cannabinoid products.
They also have various delta-8 THC products, including:
- edibles,
- gummies,
- tinctures and oils,
- drinks,
- vape products.
The majority of their products come with full panel lab testing reports on a batch-by-batch basis.
Some of their products only come with limited lab testing report. For example, a report that contains a heavy metal contaminant test, but not a pesticide test.
When you check the cannabinoid-profiles of their products, you’ll find that 3CHI oils and tinctures can mostly be classified as broad-spectrum delta-8 THC products. They have one main cannabinoid (delta-8 THC) and a few minor cannabinoids like:
- CBD,
- CBG,
- CBC, and,
- Sometimes CBN.
The formulations with a combination of delta-8 THC and CBN are mostly advertised as evening or nighttime products (‘Comfortably Numb’, ‘Calm Delta 8 Blend Tincture’, and ‘Soothe Delta 8 Blend Tincture’). CBN products, especially combined with any form of THC can have potent sedating effects.
The fact that their tinctures contain a wide variety of minor cannabinoids in detectable concentrations, puts them high on our list of best delta-8 brands.
At Herbonaut, we are firm believers in the benefits of combining cannabinoids, as opposed to taking single isolated cannabinoids.
Various studies, but also our own experience show that cannabinoids work better when combined (1, 2).
This hasn’t been specifically proven for delta-8 THC. But it has been proven for CBD products, for example. It’s very likely that cannabinoids behave similarly in that regard.
That’s also exactly the reason why 3CHI delta-8 gummies are worse than those from some other brands on the list (especially compared to Just Delta).
Unlike the tinctures, the gummies only contain delta-8 THC. No minor cannabinoids.
Also their vape products don’t have any minor cannabinoids. But this is common. Most cannabinoid vape products only contain a single isolated cannabinoid.
Price-wise, 3CHI delta-8 products are average.
For example:
When we compare how many milligrams of delta-8 THC per dollar you get with Just Delta gummies vs 3CHI gummies, we see the following:
- Just Delta gummies > 22mg delta-8 THC per $1,
- 3CHI gummies > 13.3mg delta-8 THC per $1.
Plus, you get some minor cannabinoids with Just Delta gummies, while with 3CHI, you only get delta-8 THC.
When it comes to vape products, they’re similarly priced.
The bottom line:
3CHI is a transparent delta-8 brand with an especially good assortment of delta-8 tinctures.
Up next…
#2 Koi CBD (Most Transparent Delta-8 Brand)
Koi CBD is an old timer in the cannabinoid industry.
They’re one of the first vape oil manufacturers that provided full panel lab test reports for their products.
They have a reputation of being one of the most transparent cannabinoid product manufacturers.
And even to this day, Koi CBD provides full panel lab test reports for all of their products, including their delta-8 products.
A few years ago, Koi CBD was known as a CBD vape oil manufacturer. But since then, they have expanded to various alternative cannabinoids.
Today, they provide a wide variety of alternative cannabinoid products.
Their delta-8 line of products consists of:
- Tinctures,
- Gummies,
- Edibles,
- Vape products, and,
All, except their gummies are broad-spectrum products. Meaning they have delta-8 THC as the dominant cannabinoid, but also contain some minor cannabinoids.
The tincture contains some delta-9 THC and CBN.
And the vape products contain some CBN and delta-10 THC. It’s rare for delta-8 vape products to contain minor cannabinoids. Minor cannabinoids can boost the potency of felta-8 THC, so it’s always preferable to have some minor cannabinoids inside your delta-8 vape product.
These minor cannabinoids aren’t present in very high concentrations. But low concentrations is still better than none at all.
When we compare the price of their gummies to the other brands on the list, we see the following:
- Just Delta gummies > 22mg delta-8 THC per $1,
- 3CHI gummies > 13.3mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Delta Remedys gummies regular (no subscription) > 15mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Delta Remedys gummies subscription > 21mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Koi delta-8 gummies regular (no subscription) > 17mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Koi delta-8 gummies subscription > 21mg delta-8 THC per $1.
So if you subscribe to the gummies, they’re on the affordable side.
But for a one-time purchase, they’re averagely priced.
When we compare the price of the tinctures from other brands, we see they’re more expensive than the average:
- 3CHI delta-8 tincture > 34mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Binoid delta-8 tincture > 74mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Koi delta-8 tincture > 20mg delta-8 THC per $1.
That said Koi CBD is probably the most transparent delta-8 brand on the list.
They provide FULL panel lab-test reports for ALL of their products (except their edibles).
The other brands on the list only provide a full panel lab-test report for the delta-8 distillate they use to manufacture their products.
The problem is we have to trust them on their word that that’s exactly the distillate they use to manufacture their products. Nothing stops them from testing one batch of distillate, but using a different batch to produce their products.
With Koi CBD, you always have the peace of mind that your exact delta-8 product is lab-tested on potency, but also on all contaminants a cannabinoid product should be tested on.

#3 Just Delta (Best Delta-8 Gummies Brand)
Just Delta is a brand focused on products with various forms of THC and HHC.
When it comes to delta-8 THC specifically, they have wide variety of products:
- Gummies,
- Vape cartridges,
- Tinctures,
Their Delta-8 gummies have a few other cannabinoids present in very small concentrations. D9-THC and CBD, specifically. These concentrations are very small, but may possibly still provide a small entourage effect.
The entourage effect refers to the effect that cannabinoids can produce unique beneficial effects when combined rather than taken in isolated forms.
For example:
The Delta-8 Watermelon Supernova Gummies contain:
- 51% Delta-8 THC,
- 023% Delta-9 THC, and,
- 017% CBD.
So you get two minor cannabinoids in detectable levels (Delta-9 THC and CBD).
This is better than none at all.
But the variety of minor cannabinoids in this product is lower than with most cannabinoid tincture and oil products.
Full-spectrum Delta-8 oils and tinctures usually contain at least 4 different minor cannabinoids in detectable levels.
But having a few minor cannabinoids is still better than having none at all.
Why?
Because even in small concentrations, minor cannabinoids can potentiate the effects of the dominant cannabinoid (in this case, that’s delta-8 THC).
Based on this cannabinoid profile, we classify Just Delta 8 gummies as ‘broad-spectrum’ delta-8 products.
Besides delta-8 THC products, Just Delta has a variety of other cannabinoid products with different forms of THC.
For example:
- Delta-10 THC gummies
- HHC gummies.
These cannabinoids have a different effect than delta-8.
For example:
Delta-10 THC is experienced as a slightly less potent and less sedating form of delta-8 THC.
HHC is comparable in effects to delta-8 THC, but is has stronger mental effects and weaker physical effects. Plus, it’s experienced as even less anxiety-provoking for THC-sensitive people than delta-8 THC (and delta-8 is already experienced as less anxiety-provoking than delta-9 THC).
While all of their delta-8 THC products come with full panel lab test reports, including:
- a potency test,
- a heavy metals test,
- a pesticide test,
- a residual solvent test,
- a mycotoxin test…
Their other alternative cannabinoid products (delta-10 THC and HHC) sometimes only come with a potency test.
If you want complete peace of mind, stick to their delta-8 THC products.
Up Next…
#4 Binoid (Most Affordable Delta-8 Brand)
Binoid is a brand with many different cannabinoid products.
All of their products get advertised as ‘broad-spectrum’, meaning they contain some minor cannabinoids but are always free from THC.
Yet, when we analyzed the lab-test report, these minor cannabinoids are barely present in any of their products.
While some of their CBD products contain a few minor cannabinoids in low concentrations…
Their delta-8 products don’t contain any minor cannabinoids.
So their delta-8 products are definitely not ‘broad-spectrum’. They’re isolate products.
But the good part is their prices reflect exactly that.
Binoid offers some of the most affordable delta-8 products.
Especially their tinctures are very affordable.
If you get their most potent delta-8 tincture (5000mg), you get an impressive 74 milligrams of delta-8 THC per $1.
Compare that to the most affordable delta-8 tincture from 3CHI, which gets you 34 milligrams of delta-8 THC per $1…
And you’ll realize that Binoid delta-8 tincture can be twice as cheap as the average.
Now:
Do realize that the Binoid delta-8 tincture is a pure isolate product. It doesn’t contain any minor cannabinoids.
The delta-8 tincture from 3CHI has a decent number of minor cannabinoids like CBC, CBD, and CBN.
In our experience, a single milligram of delta-8 THC taken in combination with these minor cannabinoids, is significantly more potent than a single milligram of isolated delta-8 THC.
It’s hard to put an exact number on it, but the wider the variety of minor cannabinoids and the higher the concentrations, the more potent a single milligram of delta-8 THC is.
All of their delta-8 products come with a potency test.
And the distillate used in all of their delta-8 products comes with full panel lab-test report.
So you can be sure you’re taking a contaminant-free product.
Next up…
#5 Delta Remedys (Honorable Mention)
Although Delta Remedys only focuses on gummies, and isolate ones at that…
They still deserve a spot on our list.
They’re more transparent than most delta-8 brands, but not as transparent as the most transparent brands. Their gummies come with a potency test from an accredited laboratory.
But their certificate of analysis lacks a full panel contaminant/safety test.
So they definitely could be more transparent in that department.
Now:
When a delta-8 product only contains delta-8 THC and no minor cannabinoids like with Delta Remedys, it becomes easier to compare prices with other isolate products.
Why?
Because if product A contains many minor cannabinoids, and product B only contains one isolated cannabinoid, you can’t really compare prices. Product A with many minor cannabinoids will be significantly more potent than product B that only contains a single isolated cannabinoid.
So what do we see when we compare the price of Delta Remedys to delta-8 gummies from other brands on the list?
That unless you subscribe, the price is average.
If you get a subscription though, you these gummies become significantly more affordable than the average.
Let’s compare:
- Just Delta gummies > 22mg delta-8 THC per $1,
- 3CHI gummies > 13.3mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Delta Remedys gummies regular (no subscription) > 15mg delta-8 THC per $1.
- Delta Remedys gummies subscription > 21mg delta-8 THC per $1.
So if you subscribe they’re affordable…
But still not as affordable as Just Delta gummies, which also contain some minor cannabinoids and so will be a bit more potent comparing same doses.
Frequently Asked Question About Delta-8 THC
Is Delta-8 THC Natural?
D8-THC doesn’t occur naturally in high concentrations inside cannabis, all D8-THC product brands manufacturer their D8-THC through chemical synthesis.
Because of this chemical synthetization process, D8-THC products can be seen as less ‘natural’ than D9-THC products.
Especially with D8-THC products, it’s extremely important that you have a full lab-analysis report that shows a residual solvent test.
But even with such a test, it’s important to remain skeptical.
Why?
Because most laboratories don’t test for synthetic cannabinoids.
Since most D8-THC products are made through a synthetization process, there’s a chance that such a product will contain synthetic cannabinoids. Leftovers from a faulty synthetization process.
Synthetic cannabinoids should generally be avoided.
Why?
Because they can be significantly more potent than their natural counterparts. They can produce unexpected side effects, and in some cases, outright dangerous side effects.
So is chemically synthesized D8-THC natural?
Even though it’s not made naturally, if the synthetization process is clean, the molecular structure of chemically synthesized D8-THC should be exactly the same as 100% naturally produced D8-THC.
Does Delta-8 THC Make You High?
Yes, delta-8 THC has psychoactive effects.
Most people will get high from delta-8 THC products. It will be similar to cannabis, but the quality of the high will be slightly different.
As explained in the introduction, delta-8 THC is less intense mentally, and slightly more intense physically than delta-9 THC.
Delta-8 THC can compromise your reaction time and mental clarity.
Never drive a car or handle heavy machinery while under the influence of delta-8 THC.
What Are the Benefits of Delta-8 THC?
Delta-8 THC isn’t as well-researched as delta-9 THC yet.
But the few studies that have been done on delta-8 THC found that it targets many of the same receptor systems as delta-9 THC (3).
Self-reported use cases for delta-8 THC include (4):
- relief from anxiety and panic attacks,
- relief from stress,
- relief from pain-related conditions.
So except relief from anxiety and panic attacks, delta-8 THC seems to be used for similar purposes as delta-9 THC.
What Are the Side Effects of Delta-8 THC?
Delta-8 THC can produce a variety of side effects, including:
- reduced reaction time,
- reduced mental clarity,
- dry mouth,
- red eyes,
- anxiety and panic,
- paranoia.
The higher your dose, the higher the chance you’ll experience on or more of these side effects.
If you want to be safe, start with a low dose and slowly increase your dose every few days until you experience your desired effects.
