Our ratings are calculated according to 6 metrics (cannabinoid-profile, terpene-profile, transparency, value, test-results, and taste). All of these metrics have a different weight. For example, a good cannabinoid-profile is much more important for the final rating of a CBD oil than its taste. After all, we take CBD products for their effects, not to titillate our taste-buds.

A few important points before you start comparing products.

1. Comparing different CBD products purely based on their total price is non-sensical. Different products come with different potencies and different amounts of total cannabinoids. Therefore, we suggest comparing products based on how much CBD you get per $1. spent. Use the slider for this.

2. While broad-spectrum and isolate products may seem cheaper when you purely look at how much CBD you get per 1 dollar, various studies indicate that full-spectrum CBD products are more potent, more effective, and produce fewer side effects. Therefore a direct comparison in price between full-spectrum CBD products on the one hand and broad-spectrum and isolate products on the other is non-sensical. Although full-spectrum CBD products may seem expensive, they are more effective with smaller doses compared to broad-spectrum, and especially isolate products.

3. Comparing different product types is generally non-sensical. A topical CBD cream may contain a much lower concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes than a tincture, but may produce better (localized) effects.
